For KCWC, I just finished this shirt:
It's another DMK Easy Wear pattern, and I just love it. I made the size four, and I think it fits my 3+ year old perfectly. (If you're looking for the exact pattern, it's here.)
It's reversible which is really cool - especially since you don't have to finish your seams.
Addie only wanted to wear the "pink" side out, but she did volunteer to at least show that it's blue on the other side. This was the only picture I got where she's not exposing her entire belly.

I will definitely make this pattern again, but there are a few different things I'm going to try next time:
1. Do something about the sleeves. The top center of the sleeve down to the front part was too big for the armhole, but the pattern didn't direct me to do any gathering. I ended up having to do some to get it to fit, but I wasn't very happy with it. Now that it's done, it looks fine, but when I was on the sleeves I was critiquing every little pucker. I think I'm an all-or-nothing gatherer.
2. Ever since I discovered that a special little foot came with my sewing machine for doing pin tucks, I've been wanting to try it. I think I might try replacing the pleats with pin tucks. One thing I didn't like about the pattern was that it didn't tell me exactly how to do the pleats. There were lots of pictures, but I guess I'm more of a word person.
3. Use a much smaller seam allowance at the back neck opening. You can see from this picture that there's a 1+ inch gap. My gut said not to go with the 1/2 seam allowance there, but I didn't listen. Oh well, it's really not that bad.

These are mostly just some notes-to-self for next time. It's still a great pattern.
Happy sewing! Only two more day of KCWC - but they're glorious weekend days. It's so nice to be going to bed with something finished knowing I can start something new tomorrow. I have a pair of pants cut out, but I'm not all that excited about them. I also have my eye on a couple of patterns from here.
adorable! I have this pattern but haven't sewn it yet. My youngest is named Adelaide too! The mani mina patterns are great, by the way!!

Hi Amy - thanks for your comment. Too funny that you have an Adelaide, too. I love that name. Do you call her Adelaide or do you have a nickname for her? Glad to hear about the mani mina patterns. I ordered the tunic top and one of the dresses today.
