I'm still totally hooked on sewing kids' clothes, and I have so much to show you, but first, just to prove that I really am catching up on my Virtual Quilting Bees, here are the quilt blocks I sent out earlier this week:
Drunk Love in a Log Cabin for Emily from Fresh Comfort Two (I'm ashamed to say these were for August.):
Flying Geese for Frieda from Beatnik Bee (yep, also August):
Log Cabins for Liz from Fresh Comfort (September):
And because I figured it made sense to just send one package to Liz, some String Blocks for Fresh Comfort Two (November - woo hoo - I'm actually on time for one):
And finally Dutchman's Puzzle for Shari from Beatnik Bee (September):
And to prove I actually mailed them (which, for me, is sometimes the hardest part):
I'm still behind, but at least I'm in the right season now.
Since I'm listing some of my finally completed crafting "obligations", here's a little blanket that some of my knitting friends and I made for a friend who is about to have a baby. We each knit up a square or two then I sewed all the squares together and added the binding. It was a bit challenging because all the squares weren't the same size. I thought backing it and binding it like a quilt might help stretch things out where needed. I tried this three different times, but it really just made for bunchy fabric. I think it came out okay.
I hit up Alewive's 20% off sale last week because I figured that after all that catching up, I deserved it. Check out this fabric eye candy:
I hope to have some cute little toddler clothes to show you from it soon.
You go girl! Freida and Shari's blocks look marvelous :) I was late too :) Bad bee momma... bad!

Thanks, Heidi. It feels so good to be able to cross stuff off my list. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Quite a few more to go still.
